Customer is using SAAS vendor to deliver a Hosted Environment for their Financial and Payroll solution. Vendor is offering a new and unique solution to address all external and internal requirements:
* Financial Accounting - Financial Accounting & Reporting provides the capabilities necessary to satisfy the information requirements of investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities in the post-Sarbanes-Oxley business environment.
* Customer Accounts - The Customer Accounts tool models customer organizations, supports invoicing and manages accounts receivable, providing full visibility into the true value of a customer.
* Supplier Accounts - Supplier Accounts supports the processes and information necessary to effectively manage your vendors, while providing comprehensive supplier information to people across your organization.
* Banking and Settlement - automates administrative and control activities, such as bank statement reconciliation, while providing business intelligence.
Customer needs a Project Manager to manage the Financial portion of the Project. The project timeline is roughly 18 months.
Reporting:
* Reporting to Program Manager
* There will also be a cross functional reporting structure to MIS and Finance
Responsibilities:
* Develop an understanding on the business process being developed and the deployment environment at the conceptual/component level, and ensure that all considerations affecting the entire lifecycle of the project are identified and managed effectively (i.e. interfaces, infrastructure, business processes, etc.)
* Ensure seamless cross-functional and cross-platform compatibility (business and technology)
* Ensure that we utilize the best tools and practices
* Utilization of exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
* Address and respond to business needs
* Using current MIS standard methodologies and framework
* The PM is responsible to develop and maintain project documentation, work plans and project deliverables.
* Understanding / knowledge of processes and impacts on SAS & PCI compliance
* Initiates and maintains risk and issue logs, taking responsibility for identifying and coordinating resolution of all technical and business issues. As appropriate, facilitates issue-resolution negotiations.
* Facilitating the estimating and planning of work
* Willing and able to take work direction from program manager.
Tasks:
* Write/create: roadmaps, project charters, project plans, roadmaps, quality plans, deployment plans and all other necessary project documentation
* Create and maintain risks & issue logs. Ensure risks are being mitigated and/ have appropriate contingency plans.
* Create & maintain Team Governance structure and communication plan.
* Hours &/or financial planning and monitoring
* Create and monitor project plan
* Prepare and conducted different meetings such as Team, Leads, other
* Track progress and produce weekly status reports
* Coordinate all project-related activities
* Manage internal, external, and any 3rd party vendors or partners
